The SIG is engaged in fighting all forms of racism, especially antisemitism.
A major concern of the SIG is to enable the Jewish population of Switzerland to feel secure.
The SIG regards religious freedom as a major achievement that needs to be protected and sustained.
The dialog with religions enables different religious communities to get to know each other and paves the way to peaceful co-existence. It helps to recognise points of similarity and difference and breaks down prejudices in a forum of mutual respect.
The SIG does not represent the political interests of Israel and generally does not comment on Israeli politics.
