The VSJF supports, advises and cares for Holocaust survivors resident in Switzerland. Regular contact and visits are intended to provide them with the necessary backing and support.
The VSJF is also the national point of contact for compensation and the submission of applications to the appropriate fund-holding bodies. It attends programmes held under the auspices of the Claims Conference, New York, the body to which needy Holocaust survivors can apply for financial support.
Holocaust survivors of Hungarian extraction have the option of making applications to the Hungarian Gold Train Fund through the VSJF.
Needy Holocaust survivors can apply for a pension for eligible persons to the Article 2 Fund. The VSJF assists in the completion of the application forms.
