Relief Organisation Representation Service – Working for a fair asylum process

Many victims of persecution seek refuge in Switzerland. The Relief Organisation Representation Service aims to ensure that hearings of asylum seekers are conducted fairly, comprehensively and in an atmosphere respecting human dignity. The service is specified in the Asylum Act.

The male and female representatives of the VSFJ work at Zürich Airport and in Bern. They are present as neutral observers in the hearings. They can ask questions to clarify matters of fact and also intervene if need be. The VSJF is responsible for recruitment and work quality.

The VSJF carries out this task on behalf of Swiss Refugee Aid SFH, which is the umbrella organisation of the relief organisations involved in the asylum process.
