Registration Centre
The SIG runs a registration centre for anti-Semitic incidents. It provides assistance to victims and affected parties and records reported incidents. In the French speaking part of Switzerland, CICAD, Coordination Intercommunautaire Contre l'Antisémitisme et la Diffamation (Intercommunity co-ordination against anti-Semitism and defamation) runs the reporting and advice centre.

The registration centre dispenses also help and advice to affected persons, institutions and specialists. The SIG supports victims in legal actions and in contacts with the police and authorities. It can also give complementary assistance in the victims’ own environment, e.g. in schools, in order to help them get necessary support and to aviod further incidents.
Guarantee of anonymity for persons reporting incidents
Reports of anti-Semitic incidents are recorded anonymously for statistical purposes, according to defined criteria. This allows a more accurate assessment of the situation throughout Switzerland, with data grouped under various headings, e.g. prevention, safety and information. This is why it is important that also those who need no help or get it elsewhere - and also communities, schools and other institutions - should report all incidents. Enquiries and reports are treated confidencially.
